Sound On My Canon Powershot sd1400?

When i record a video on my canon powershot sd1400 (just a regular video of me talking), the sound doesn't work when i go to replay it. I tried going into the sound settings and volume settings but the only options there are are: start up volume, operation volume, selftimer volume and shutter volume and all of those are on. Help pleaseee?!!!
