How can i fix my long distance relationship?

i messaged my boyfriend's Ex girlfriend. when he told me not to say anything to her, and now when i told him he got really mad that he wouldn't pick up his phone or replay to my text, should i be worry? or why he would get this mad at me? is it okay for him to be this mad?!
