How do I get a .DMX file to play on my Computer?

I was playing Team Fortress 2 and saved a replay. I went to save it to a movie with all my specifications and what not the end result was a .DMX file and is not Recognized by my computer. I tried to open it with my media player but still no luck. Is there something I need to download to make it work? Hope someone can help me out there >.<
